In California, how can I switch from Republican to Independent?

Also, a lot of people are leaving questions about switching from democrats to republicans…why?!!!!!!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!?!?!?!?!?!? pick the lesser of two evils and forget about your 5 houses in the hamptons. do wats right, people are dying so you can keep your yacht.
